Most employers run your resume through an applicant tracking system before a human sees it. Upload yours — we'll tell you instantly whether it can be read. It's a readability check, not a fit score. No sign-up, no catch.
Your ATS score is a 0–100% readiness read on how cleanly an applicant tracking system parses your resume — it is not a measure of how strong a candidate you are. It comes from the same mechanical checks a recruiter's ATS runs before any human opens the file:
A high score means the ATS can read you. It doesn't mean you're the best match for a given job — that's a separate question, and it's the one Jobfyt answers when it runs your search.
An ATS parses your resume into structured data, then a recruiter searches and filters it. If the parse fails, you can be filtered out before any human reads a word. This tool checks the mechanical basics that decide whether the parse succeeds:
It does not score you against a specific job — for that, use the free resume-to-job match check (paste a posting, see which of its requirements your resume covers), or read the guide on tailoring your resume to a job description.
An applicant tracking system (ATS) is the software most employers use to collect, parse, and search resumes before a recruiter looks at any of them. It extracts your resume into structured fields — name, contact info, work history, skills — and a bad parse can mean a human never sees your real content.
It's a 0–100% readiness score, not a job-fit score — see "What your ATS score means" below. It reflects whether your resume's text, sections, and contact details will come through a parser intact.
Yes. There's no sign-up and no payment to run a check — upload a resume and see the score. Jobfyt's job search and resume tailoring have a free tier too; sign-up is only needed once you want to use those.
Not unless you take it with you. Your file is processed in memory for the length of the check and then discarded — we keep only the score and the detected job title, never the file. If you create an account from your results, we carry the extracted text (not the file) across so your new account starts with the resume you just checked. It's deleted as soon as it's imported into your account, and it expires after an hour if you don't. See our privacy policy for details.
PDF and Word (.docx). Older .doc files aren't supported — save it as .docx or export to PDF first.
The checker only grades ATS readability. If Jobfyt's job database has recent postings that fit the detected role, a short courtesy list shows after your check — real matching and fit scoring happen once you run a search with a free account.
