Job Title: Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview: The Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting pharmacy compounding operations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, including the preparation and compounding of non-sterile dosage forms such as creams, suspensions, troches, nasal sprays, and related compounds. This role supports quality, accuracy, compliance, and efficient daily compounding operations within a fast-paced pharmacy environment while maintaining applicable pharmacy standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare non-sterile dosage forms under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
• Process prescriptions using various pharmacy software (experience with Liberty, Pioneer, or Life File is preferred).
• Learn and develop expertise in innovative, specialty compounds and nutraceutical products.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compounding while maintaining compliance with USP 795 and USP 800 standards.
• Participate in training and educational activities to stay current with industry standards and techniques.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations and assist with quality control of compounded medications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in an independent pharmacy compounding setting.
• Must have an active FL license (technician or intern) and in good standing as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern
• Proven experience working with compounding equipment such as scales, hot plates, capsule machines, and other pharmaceutical compounding tools.
• Experience in preparing non-sterile dosage forms, including capsules, creams, nasal sprays, and suspensions.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and industry best practices.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred).

Experience:

• Compounding medications: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Requirements:

• Position is based in the Company’s West Palm Beach, Florida office and requires regular onsite attendance due to the operational responsibilities of the role.
• Must be able to reliably commute to the West Palm Beach area or relocate prior to the start of employment.
• Day shift availability preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends and additional hours as needed based on operational requirements.

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am – 6pm with occasional Saturdays, as needed

Pay/ Compensation: $20 - $25/ hour
