PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Office of Enterprise Network (OEN) provides ongoing administration work required to maintain the health and integrity of the UNIX enterprise infrastructure. Additionally, OEN provides expertise and understanding of SAN storage and SAN Fabric switches across a variety of storage platforms.

Tasks & Duties

  • FileNet Administration for FileNet Image Services (IS), IS Web Services, IDM Capture, P8, Content Navigator (ICN) & WebSphere
  • Develop Shell Scripts to perform daily system health check and monitor EBR backup status of 24 MKF Proprietary Databases on 6 IBM IS Servers, 9 Oracle Databases on IS, P8 & ICN Servers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve daily operation issues, document retrieval slowness/hanging problems due to various hardware, software, network, or hard disk failures, etc.
  • Maintain and support on 220+ TB Imaging Service MSAR Library operations.
  • Update and monitor nightly FileNet IS remote document committals from IDM Capture (POS & Eforms) to Imaging CORE system.
  • Daily verify new documents committal processing status and take support calls for IS, IS Web Services, IDM Capture, P8, ICN & WebSphere to resolve document retrieval, committal issues, analyze and fix problems on FileNet Servers & Oracle Database.
  • Create new document classes, indexes, retrieval keys in FileNet IS Test and Production servers upon requests by various application teams.
  • Delete or close documents on 39 Databases to run clean up on IS repository upon requests by application groups due to various reasons such as committal mistakes, error images, or expired images.
  • IBM FileNet Software & Database Installs, Upgrades & Fixpacks
  • Review software release notes and compatibility reports to verify OS Levels and patches are at levels to get a successful Fixpack install or upgrade installation.
  • Download appropriate Fixpacks, upgrade and installation software on various IS, P8 or ICN servers. Install FixPacks
  • Resolve software bugs in the FileNet IS, IS Web Services, IDM Capture, P8, ICN & WebSphere software
  • Capacity Planning, Architectural Design & Implementation on New Servers
  • Plan and manage MSAR Libraries Platter utilization on 6 IS Servers for critical document committals and retrievals for new hard drive allocation to prevent maximum slot allocation. Monitor Database sizing for 39 Databases on IS, P8, & ICN Servers.
  • Architecture design for optimizing Imaging data allocation, users concurring access, and disk layout on new Imaging Servers (IS, P8 or ICN)
  • Improve performance and ensure minimum downtime for Imaging Services.
  • Migrations
  • Perform FileNet IS server migration from IBM Power 7 to Power 9 Platform.
  • Upgrade and migrate 30+ FileNet Databases in Image Services from Raw Volumes to Filesystems to keep Imaging Infrastructure environment up
  • Date and prepare for the IS modernization to future Cloud technology.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with the following skill sets:
  • IBM FileNet Administration
  • IBM P8 Administration
  • IBM Content Navigator Administration
  • Oracle Database Administration, Backup and Restore
  • Developing UNIX programs to customize FileNet IS, P8, ICN environments
  • Installation / configuration / upgrade FileNet IS, P8, ICN environments
  • Unix OS server administration and basic Unix troubleshooting
  • SAN storage performance turning and disk error troubleshooting
