The role will include sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, conducting initial phone screens, coordinating interviews, managing candidate communication and follow-up, and keeping recruiting information organized and up to date.
You do not need previous experience recruiting engineers. We are looking for someone who is curious, organized, comfortable talking with people, and able to take ownership of their work. We’ll provide guidance on the positions and candidate profiles, but we need someone who can take that direction and run with it.

- Preparing concise candidate summaries for hiring managers
- Coordinating interviews and managing candidate communication and follow-up

- Building candidate pipelines for current and upcoming positions
- Researching companies, job titles, and talent markets to support sourcing efforts
- Developing Boolean searches and other targeted sourcing strategies
- Following up with candidates and helping keep the interview process moving
- Supporting job postings and other recruiting activities as needed
- Helping maintain a responsive and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in recruiting, talent sourcing, recruiting coordination, or a related role
- Experience communicating directly with candidates
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assigned work
- Ability to work approximately 25–30 hours per week
- Ability to work from the Walnut Creek office as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or other candidate sourcing tools
- Experience reviewing resumes and applications
- Experience conducting candidate phone screens
- Experience working in an applicant tracking system
- Experience supporting multiple open positions at the same time
- Experience with Boolean searches or other online sourcing methods
- Experience recruiting or sourcing engineering or other technical professionals
- Familiarity with engineering, architecture, construction, BIM/VDC, manufacturing, or technology
- Comfortable learning new systems and working independently
Candidates are not expected to have experience in every area listed above. We are particularly interested in someone who is organized, asks good questions, follows through, and can take ownership of assigned work without needing a lot of day-to-day direction.
