Human Resources Generalist

This position is in our Boca Raton Office Monday-Friday

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations in a manufacturing environment, including employee relations, onboarding, payroll administration, benefits support, compliance, and HRIS management. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers while ensuring accurate payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and a positive onboarding experience for new hires.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Payroll Administration

  • Process biweekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure accuracy of employee data
  • Review time and attendance records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payroll submission
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and coordinate with ADP as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations

Onboarding & New Hire Administration

  • Coordinate all new hire onboarding activities
  • Prepare and process offer approvals/letters, new hire paperwork, and employment documentation
  • Conduct new employee orientation and ensure completion of required training
  • Manage I-9 verification and E-Verify processes
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience

Human Resources Support

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Assist with employee relations matters and workplace investigations as requested by Vice President of Human Resources
  • Maintain personnel files stored in docu-cloud within ADP and ensure compliance with record retention requirements
  • Support performance management, employee engagement, and employee development initiatives
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and audits as needed
  • Support safety, workers' compensation, and unemployment claim administration
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
  • Provide payroll and HR documentation to support internal and external audits and partner with Accounting on audit requests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now (WFN) required
  • Knowledge of HR laws, payroll practices, and employment compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent HR or Payroll certification
  • Experience with timekeeping systems and employee relations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

This position is performed in manufacturing environment. There may be exposure to noise, work near moving mechanical parts and forklifts, citrus fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. The employee may be required to stand, walk and sit for long periods at a time, wear the proper protective equipment as required, climb a ladder or stairs, hear and communicate readily, use both hands and arms. Use of telephone, cell phones, a computer, copier, and other office equipment will be required.
