Oversee the full accounting operations, including financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, general ledger, project cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled and documented
Manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, maintaining efficient invoicing, collections, and payment processes
Oversee the collection and analysis of financial data to ensure spending complies with policies and regulations.
Supervise team members to maintain records of financial transactions, ensure legal compliance, create, and track invoices to clients, and review accurate and timely computation and payment of payroll and expenses.
Serve as a financial advisor to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making
Establish and maintain accounting procedures, a robust controls and compliance environment; and design and adherence to a monthly accounting calendar
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements
Lead the coordination of the year-end external audit, ensuring timely and efficient completion of the audit and addressing all auditor inquiries
Lead tax coordination with external tax advisors
Oversee and manage all billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
Ensure compliance with applicable revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606) including new contracts, modifications and terminations.
Be the subject matter expert in client contracts, interpreting terms and conditions impacting revenue recognition, preparing and reviewing analyses, assessing exceptions, and providing guidance related to any revenue impacts.

QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting management position
Advanced understanding of Excel, Word and accounting software (ideally NetSuite)
Strong knowledge of advanced accounting concepts and principles of US GAAP
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize job assignments, and change focus to adapt to new demands quickly
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
Clear and professional written and verbal communications
